If you are 3.73 the CTF will have to be installed after every reboot or turn on. If you are going to CFW your VITA I suggest you use firmware 3.65 or below.
The VITA is quite easy to add CFW, and the number of apps and programs that support the device is outstanding. In terms of making a portable retro console, I would have to say that the VITA wins hands down, especially when comparing it to others like the 3DS and Retropie Builds. Despite the VITA no longer being developed and produced, getting your hands on such a piece of hardware provides a great means of portable retro fun.
You can add many attachments to your phone to simulate a console, but you will never have that true feel of a portable console.
